The Adams Family (Duh Duh Duh Dut-Snap Snap)

The other day I was having lunch with a friend of mine: Austin Adams. He was in town visiting from Texarkana. Austin and his family are from Houston (at least since I have known them I have known them as Houstonians). However, the family is all over the place now: Maryland, Texarkana, Lubbock, and Spring (Houston). I don’t know if was a planned get together or what, but they all we getting together in Houston and having some good ole family time. Austin was telling me that it had be years since they had all been together at one time in one place. I thought that was neat left it at that and moved on in our conversation…Well, Ellen and I were in the Woodlands, TX the next day for a few photo-shoots. We finished one up and headed over to get a Jamba Juice from Market Street. On our way back to the car I get a text from Austin: “Hey, are you in the Woodlands?” I turn around there is Austin. We go over to say hello to the family; I thought to myself what a great opportunity to bless this family…Remember Austin said that they had not been together in a loooong time: so I asked if it would be okay for me to go grab my gear and get a quick impromptu family portrait. As you could imagine they said yes. So Ellen and I did a quick 5 minute shoot to capture their family time together. It was just really cool for us to use our gift to give to someone else. That is our dream: that we would always make sure and set our gift of photography out there as a gift from God and always use it to bless people.

(Another cool thing about capturing this moment is how the family is changing and growing so much and we caught this at the beginning stages: Austin is getting married in October, Lindsey and Chad have a beautiful little girl Hadley, and Abby was celebrating her 21st birthday!)

Here is their beautiful family (and a couple of Hadley.)

What a great set of pictures. We came home to hang out with the family, bring Hadley home from a Lubbock trip, visit with Lucretia’s parents and celebrate Abbey’s 21st birthday. We had a great time.
