AFRICA Day 3:: Matara

Today, we visited the village of Matara – where Community of Burundi is working with 30 Batwa families.  They were proud to show us their land and their agriculture.

Gary with his new friend…These women are so strong and beautiful.Next image was during a prayer over the 10 couples who will be getting married tomorrow – holding hands preparing for their marriage.  Beautiful.Martha and her new friend!Thanks to Sherry who willingly took my camera to snag this shot of me with some beautiful Batwa children.  Thankful for this image and this memory and these people.Sherry and these children had fun with her camera – she would take a picture and show them – they LOVED it!!  She even learned, “SMILE!!” in Kirundi!Sydney leaping over the water!Dancing, dancing, dancing…Friends…Tomorrow, we dress up and head back to Matara for the wedding celebration of 10 Batwa couples.  For now, BED!!!
