More from Africa Day 2

Morning time here in Bujumbura at the lovely “Star Light” guest houses.  I just HAD to add more photos from yesterday!  Most of these images do not even need captions… but I will give a few:)

For those of you who know about the Batwa and the Bubanza village, look how far they have come along!!  They are acknowledging every gift from God.  They still have a long ways to go, but there is much progress in their village!!Love this student’s shirt!!!This door was at the language school we attended yesterday morning.  It is for Laura Shook.  We share an affinity for doors:)

At the student house, we had a flag raising ceremony where the students sang the Burundi national anthem and raised their flag – and then we sang our national anthem and raised the US flag and Texas flag.  Loved the flag poles and just the symobolism of our flags flying together. We just finished breakfast and are about to head to the Batwa village of Matara – tomorrow is their wedding!!!  Can’t wait!  I will try my best to post another blog tonight of DAY 3!!!!
