Chad, Lynsey, and Hadley (and Harper)

What a precious family. Yes I said precious. (This is Randy.) The fall is upon us…well in Houston you just pretend that fall is upon you. So in imaginary world: fall is upon us here in Houston Texas–Pumpkin Spice Lattes are at Starbucks, Autumn Harvest Candles are burning in the Olive home, Thanksgiving Decorations are up at Hobby Lobby, all the department store clothes are oranges, yellow ochre, and cranberry colored, college football has started (Glory Glory to the Bulldogs), but most importantly family photos are speckling our schedule. (You can book your family session today by emailing randy.olive@randyolive.com)

I had a lot of fun with Lynsey, Chad, Hadley, and the soon to be Harper. For those who might be slow and are trying to pick out another person in their photos: Lynsey is pregnant. Kids are so fun to photograph. Hadley had such a mind of her own that day. If we wanted to stand, she wanted to sit, if we wanted to sit she wanted to stand, we look left, she looks right, we want a family shot together, she wants to be the star. All in all, really and truly–Hadley directed this shoot. Which was fine with me because a happy child=beautiful pictures. And beautiful would be an understatement for this family. I had one shot in my mind that I wanted to grab which is the black and white shot of Hadley in the foreground with Chad and Lynsey blurred out sitting in the background: Love it! It is really one of my favorite family shots to date.

Lynsey is such a great mom. She is head over heals for Hadley and is so eager to meet Harper. And “poor Chad”–those two girls have him wrapped around their fingers. “Poor Chad” is sarcastic: what a blessing to have these two soon to be three beautiful girls to be madly in love with. The Hedrick family will be a force to be reckoned with for sure: stunning looks, great personalities, but most of all–unashamedly in love with Jesus who gave His life for them.

The day turned out to be a little hot, a little muggy, Hadley had her own agenda, but I think these turned out great. Thank you to Chad and Lynsey for letting me into your life to capture a few moments of your joy together.
