A Request From Abby’s Mom

Hey. Everyone that followed the story of Hope Abigail: the Gordon family is trying to do an appreciation day for the nurses at Methodist Willowbrook. Below is a copy of Melinda’s entry on her blog.

Request for December 17

Calling all friends, family, friends of family, blog followers…

We are hosting a nurse appreciation day (Gordon style –DESSERTS!) at the hospital on Friday, December 17. If you have the time, would you please post a note to the nurses or email me your note (mggordon@swbell.net). This note of thanks and appreciation doens’t have to be about Abby or our family but if you were there with us and experienced the kindness of these folks, that would be great. Your note can be about your own experience and how a nurse or group of nurses helped you in your time of need. If you have never had a good experience with a nurse…write a note of thanks about Abby! LOL!!!

We will print out all of the responses, handwritten cards, etc. and take them on Friday. I hope there are hundreds of these notes. You never know how far a few kind words will go.

Also, we will be delivering blankets and bears on Friday. If you have any you’d like to donate, let me know and we can coordiate. (We delivered 29 of your blankets and bears last week! Thank You!)

Last, if you have a desire to cook a dessert for the party, let me know that as well. We will be delivering goodies on the 17th at 9am and again at 8pm so we are sure to include both day and night shifts. All desserts should be at our house by Thursday evening. I will coordinate more with you, if you are interested.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We appreciate you all more than you’ll ever know in helping us keep Abby’s legecy alive. Go Abby!

Thanks for you help guys!
