White Seamless

I have to give a huge kudos to Zack Arias. I have been wanting to shoot a white seamless shoot for quite a while. Mainly since I saw the creativeLive where Zack did a studio lighting workshop. About 9 months later here I am in my grandfather-in-laws barn (because I do not own studio space) trying to work out the kinks–4 pocket wizards, a borrowed flash (so I have 3), background truss, and a roll of bright white paper later. My world is still limited as far as equipment is concerned, but I have zeal–and want to. And here are my test subjects from my very first white seamless photo shoot. And an incredibly special awesome deserved thank you shout out goes to Baylie McBeth: Thanks! Enjoy. (I hope.)

I am the yearbook advisor at the school I teach at. I met Ellen at an event a few years ago…

I have a question… I am looking at taking our Hall of Fame pictures at school (mr. and miss ochs, most athletic, friendliest, etc) instead of getting a professional company to do it. I have a room and we’ve hung sheets to create a white background, but yours looks SO much better. Can you give me some pointers on how to do this (what you’ve done above) and make those pictures look good?

Thanks,
Lindsey
