WIY Tour: Paul Mitchell

The “What Inspires You?” Tour rolled into Houston this past Monday. All I have to say is booya! Why booya you might say: because this guy (picture me in-between two thumbs) got a chance to capture the whole thing. Robert Cromeans, Takashi, Stephanie Kocielski, and Angus Mitchell–hair industry GIANTS!! came into town to play with us. Paul Mitchell the School Houston (one of my most favorite places in the world) was picked to be the holding area for model call and prep Saturday and Sunday.

I want to make sure everyone realizes how cool of a thing this was. Imagine you are working in the world of technology. It would be like Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, and Jack Dorsey coming to your conference room to prep for key note speeches. But not only prepping for key note speeches–they are having discussions with you very candidly about life, about computers, about what you could do to be amazing in the industry, about what inspires you, about what inspires them, they laugh with you, hug you, encourage you, etc. etc. etc. Pretty far fetched thought really. I don’t know any of these guys personally, but I am pretty sure they don’t do that. Which is truly why I love working for Paul Mitchell the School. Everyone is built up to give back and make everyone around them better–even and especially those who are at the “top of the food chain.”

Robert, Angus, Takashi, and Stephanie all were so amazing to each and every one of our students. The passion they have for the industry spilled over in a selfless spending of their time and energy to make our students better! If any of you happen to be reading this blog: Thank you so much for the investment that you made at Paul Mitchell the School Houston. You will never know how much that means to me as a Future Professional Advisor, to our students, and to our learning leaders. Your investment will be multiplied in the lives each of us are able to touch. Thank you, thank you, thank you. (Those thanks are also mean for each and everyone of you guys who helped with JPMS!!!)

The event was something spectacular. The inspiration will live in memories of greatness etched into our mind’s eye. And I am blessed to have been asked to help capture the whole thing! Enjoy.
