Travis and Leah

You know those moments when you realize you are growing up? Well, recently we (my older brother and I) got the chance to see our little (not-so-little) brother marry the woman of his dreams–and we, in turn, grew just a bit older. My beautiful sister-in-law asked Ellen and I if we would photograph the wedding. Of course we were honored to say yes to her request. If I had to label the day with one word, it would be nostalgic. We were all three together at the same time, which had not happened in quite awhile. We swapped stories and laughed and mocked each other. And loved. But it is labeled nostalgic for me, not for memories past, but for the memories created. I got the chance to see my younger brother looking his most handsome, standing most proudly, and accepting the woman of his dreams to be his bride. He is different… better, when Leah is present, as you will be able to see in the photos to follow. And then there is Leah. She made Ellen and I feel like celebrities. It’s rare to be around a humble bride on the day that is all about her–but Leah was the essence of quiet beauty. Thank you for letting us capture your day. It was an honor.
