Adam: 9 Months

On November 17th, Adam turned 9 months old! This is such a fun age. He is Mr. Personality!

Here’s what happened this month:

I chopped off all my hair! Some days I love it and some days I don’t, but it sure is faster to style when I don’t know how long Adam will be happy.

Adam started going to the nursery at Chapelwood while I sing in “big church.” He’s doing great! When we go to pick him up, he’s happy as can be playing with his teachers… until he sees us and then he starts crying like he forgot he missed us. Funny boy.

He saw his first Christmas tree at Ma and Pa’s and loved looking at all the lights and shiny red ornaments.

We voted in the 2016 Presidential Election! I took Adam with me to early voting and we both dressed up for the occasion. We are thankful for our country and our freedom. While we were outside in line, we saw Santa Jim walk out. Of course, Adam quickly made friends with everyone in line. I pray that he grows up in a country and culture full of respect, opportunity, and gratitude.

We went to a pumpkin patch with the whole Cousin Day crew! (me, Adam, Yaya, Ma, Pa, J. Crockett, Addie)

His first Halloween! Adam was the cutest astronaut on planet Earth – thanks to our real life astronaut friend, Anne McClain, and Summer and Briggs! We went to Trunk or Treat with Yaya at Champion Forest Baptist Church, and we trick-or-treated Mimi and BB’s house (McBeths).

National Preemie Day fell on November 17th – the day Adam turned 9 months old. It is so crazy to look back at photos from not even one year ago and see how far he’s come! I am so proud of him for growing so big and strong! I will praise God always for his life and health.

Here are his stats:

Loves: Dad – he is ALL about Dad right now, going on long walks in these cooler temps, and he is really loving to read and point to the faces on the pages

Dislikes: laying on his back for a diaper change, sleeping through the night, teething pain, oh- and mangos are apparently THE WORST

Favorite food: green peas, sweet potatoes, carrots, Mommy Milk

Favorite book: Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?

Accomplishments: now wears size 12 month clothes, says “Dada” all day er’ day, scooting and rolling everywhere, doing better and better in the church nursery

My beautiful boy,

I absolutely adore you and I’m so happy to be your mom.

I know you will make this upcoming holiday season so special.

You are my greatest joy.

Love forever,
